What I do

I diagnose, repair, rebuild and reimage desktop and laptop systems. The work ranges from identifying failed connectors or storage devices to replacing components, cleaning systems, rebuilding Windows and validating that a machine is stable before it returns to use.

My workflow

  • Record the reported fault and reproduce it where possible
  • Inspect power, cooling, cabling, storage and memory before replacing parts
  • Use known-good components and temporary displays to isolate the failure
  • Reimage or reset the operating system when software integrity is uncertain
  • Apply updates, drivers and security checks
  • Run repeatable boot, storage and stability tests before sign-off

Professional experience

At WEEE Recycle ICT I worked with batches of Windows PCs, secure data erasure, Ubuntu-based reimaging and integrity-checking workflows. My personal projects extend the same practical approach to custom PCs, laptops and older systems.

Safety and evidence

Heat damage, poor cabling and failing power components are treated as safety issues rather than cosmetic faults. Public photographs are metadata-stripped and identifying labels are obscured where needed.

How to deploy or reproduce it

Start with intake notes, photographs and a backup discussion. Disconnect power, inspect cooling, cabling and visible damage, then use known-good parts and diagnostic media to isolate the fault.

After repair, reinstall or update the operating system only with the owner's approval, run repeatable stability tests and document every part changed.
