EVE-NG topology evidence

What EVE-NG is
EVE-NG is a network-emulation platform for building virtual topologies from supported network and security appliances. It lets me connect devices, capture traffic and practise configuration or troubleshooting in an isolated environment.
Why I use it
I use EVE-NG to reproduce routing, VLAN, firewall and VPN scenarios before changing the physical lab. It is especially useful for testing failure conditions that would be disruptive on the live network.
Lab workflow
- Define the question or failure to reproduce
- Build the smallest topology that can prove it
- Capture baseline traffic and routing state
- Apply one change at a time
- Record commands, packet captures and outcomes
- Reset the lab and repeat to confirm the result

Licensing and images
EVE-NG does not provide commercial vendor images. I use only images I am licensed or permitted to use, and the portfolio does not redistribute them.
Create a small topology first, validate console access and snapshots, and expand the lab with routers, firewalls and Linux hosts as each link is tested.
Deploy EVE-NG as a dedicated VM with nested virtualisation enabled, allocate sufficient CPU, memory and storage, then upload only network images for which you hold the required licence.
